Universe for you is aware that you place your trust in us. As such, we see it as our responsibility to protect and respect your privacy. On this page, we let you know what data we collect when you use our website, why we collect this data, and how we use it to improve your user experience. That way you understand exactly how we work and what rights you have.
This privacy and cookie statement applies to all services provided by Universe for you. By using this website, you indicate your acceptance of them. Universe for you respects the privacy of all users of its site and ensures that the personal information you provide to us is kept confidential and complies with the General Data Protection Regulation (AVG).
The current -version available on the website is the only version that applies as long as you visit the website.
Who is Universe for you
Universe for you is a general partnership. We are located in (3071PB) Rotterdam at Marinestraat 9A. We are registered in the commercial register of the Chamber of Commerce under number 78323797. We are the controller of your personal data.
Personal data
In order to provide our website and services, we process personal data. The term “personal data” refers to information that identifies you as an individual. This definition is consistent with relevant legislation.
If you are under the age of 21, you can not use our services. If it appears that we have processed data of a person under the age of 21 without consent, please contact us and we will delete that person’s data.
Processing Personal Data
We may hold your data at various times, such as when you visit our website, use our services or contact us. We may process this data because we seek your consent and in order to best provide our services to you. Furthermore, we will not process your data without your consent, unless we are required to do so by law.
The data we process are:
- First and last name;
- Your address information;
- Your gender;
- Phone number;
- E-mail address;
- Your behaviors on the website;
- Your trade name and company information, if any;
- Your payment information;
- Your questions and the other information you share with us.
We do not collect or use information for purposes other than those described in this privacy statement unless we have obtained your prior consent.
Your rights
The data we collect from you is personal. You therefore have the following rights:
- You may ask us for access to your data at any time;
- You may ask us to correct, limit or delete your data. In case of fraud, non-payment or other unlawful acts, we may keep some of your information on a register or blacklist;
- You may ask us for a copy of your records;
- You may object to the processing of your data;
- You can file a complaint with the Personal Data Authority if you believe we are processing your data unlawfully;
- You may withdraw consent to process your data at any time. From the moment you withdraw consent, we may no longer process any of your data.
If you wish to exercise any of the above rights, please submit your request to info@universeforyou.nl. To ensure that this request has been requested by you, please include a copy of proof of identity. In this copy, black out you passport photo, MRZ (the strip of numbers at the bottom of the passport or ID card), passport number or ID card number and Citizen Service Number (BSN). We will respond to your request as soon as possible, but no later than two (2) weeks.
Purpose and use
Your personal data will only be used to contact you in connection with a question you have asked through our website, to contact you in connection with purchasing a service or to inform you about Universe for you. For example, we receive and/or use your data by:
Implementing agreement
For the execution of the agreement, we process your data in order to make the execution possible. This data is provided by you and is processed by our servers. We will keep this data for no later than 1 year after the end of the agreement.
Contact form
You can contact Universe for you via the contact form. When filling out the contact form, you leave your own information. This data is provided to us by WordPress and our mail servers. We process this data in order to respond to your message and/or question. We will delete this data after answering your question but at the latest within 1 year.
Newsletter
Universe for you may periodically share a message with you in the form of a newsletter to inform you about Universe for you and any activities. You sign up for this yourself. If you do not want this newsletter, please indicate this to Universe for you so that we no longer send these types of emails to you.
Payments
If you purchase a service or product from Universe for you, you can pay your invoice via Ideal, among other methods. This personal, billing and payment information is stored by the server and processed in Universe for you’s accounts. We will keep this data in accordance with our legal obligation of 7 years.
Other recipients of your personal data
Universe for you will never provide your information to third parties without your explicit consent. The exception to this is when necessary to perform the requested services and when we are required to do so by law or court order. We may share your personal data with the following recipients;
- Payment providers, for taking care of (online) payments.
- Accounting programs, for processing payments.
- Employees or hired third parties of Universe for you to perform the agreements.
- E-mail programs for sending newsletters, among other things.
In some cases, we have a legitimate interest in processing data. We have balanced our interest, against the privacy interest of the person whose personal data we process on this basis. In doing so, we will not process more data than necessary to achieve our purpose while safeguarding our legitimate interests.
Automated decision-making
Universe for you does not make decisions about things that could (significantly) affect individuals on the basis of automated processing. These are decisions made without the intervention of a person.
Security of you data
Universe for you has taken appropriate technical and organizational security measures to protect your personal data from misuse, unlawful or unauthorized use and loss.
All parties that process your data for us (sub-processors) or can view it (think employees or hired workers) sign a processor agreement or confidentiality agreement. Universe for you does not sell your information to third parties.
Retention period of you data
Universe for you stores your personal data no longer than strictly necessary to fulfill the purposes for which your data is acquired. The retention periods used by Universe for you are described under the purposes. Once you have unsubscribed yourself or requested deletion, you will be completely removed from our database. This is done within a maximum of 60 days (2 months) of your request.
Cookies
This Web site uses “cookies” (text files placed on your computer) to help analyze the Web site and how users use the site. The information generated by the cookie about your use of the website may be transferred to Universe for you’s own secure servers or those of a third party. We use this information to track how you use the website, to compile reports on website activity and to offer other services related to website activity and internet usage.
If we need your permission to set cookies we will ask you during your first visit to our website. You can opt yourself out of cookies by setting your Internet browser to stop storing cookies. Most cookies disappear as soon as you close your Internet browser. Some cookies remain on the Internet browser for several days to several years. You can delete these yourself at any time via your Internet browser. If you do not accept our cookies, our website may not work as well.
For setting cookies, we use google analytics and a pixel from facebook. Both track statistics about your behavior on the Web site.
Data breach
If, despite all precautions, a data leak occurs, we comply with the data breach notification obligation and report the leak to the Personal Data Authority within 72 hours of its discovery. Should you discover a data breach, we kindly ask that you share it with us as soon as possible but in any case within 24 hours of discovering the leak by sending an e-mail to info@universeforyou.nl. We can then take immediate action.
Changes
This privacy statement is tailored to the use of and features on this site. Any updates and/or changes to this site, may result in changes to this privacy statement. It is therefore advisable to regularly review this privacy statement.
